Day -
Salvador / Igatu
We leave in the morning to Igatu (420 km), a little village in the Chapada. Arrival early afternoon, lunch and check-in at the pousada Pedras de Igatu. Visit of the surroundings of the village and its ruins, marks of the great diamond era that characterise this timeless place. The stony walls where the vegetation sticks to point out to the immensity of the landscape. Visit of a Garimpo, site where you can still find irreducible diamond diggers. Dinner and overnight at the pousada.

Day -
Igatu
We leave in the morning to the “enchanted well” (45 km) to visit this underground lake with an intense blue and which depth gets to 40 m. The purity of the water and the colours give an exceptional luminosity to the whole. Picnic lunch. Afternoon-visit of the “blue well”, another underground lake located at the shore of the Rio Paraguacu. Opportunity to take a bath and a dive (we lend the masks and the snorkels). Return to Igatu late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the pousada.

Day -
Igatu / Lencois
We leave in the morning to Lencois (180 km), a passage of the western part of the National Park of the Chapada. Stop at the shore of the Rio Mucugezinho and discovery of the waterfalls of the “Devil’s well”. Picnic lunch. Continuation through the village of Iraquara and visit of the caves of Lapa Doce; a hike of about one hour allows us to appreciate the incredible beauty of the whole of stalactites and stalagmites. In the afternoon we climb up to the Morro do Pai Inacio, an impressive rocky formation where we can overview the most beautiful landscape of the region. Arrival at Lencois. Check-in. Dinner and overnight at the Pousada de Lencois.

Day -
Lencois
Morning hike (approx. 2 h 30) on the trails of the surroundings of the village, discovery of the waterfalls Do Sossego and the natural toboggans of the Ribeirao do Meio. This hike along the torrents leads through an endemic vegetation, composed of numerous flowered bushes, orchids and ferntrees. Lunch at Lencois. Afternoon at leisure for a discovery of this colourful village where facades and roads have conserved their colonial architecture. Dinner and overnight at the pousada.

Day -
Lencois / Salvador
In the morning we visit the natural arched roofs, located closeby to the village. These “halls” formed by the erosion of the rocks shelter coloured sand the serves for the production of the famous small decorative bottles. Stop at the Rio Serrano for a panoramic view of Lencois and its surroundings. Lunch at the village. Early afternoon departure to Salvador. Arrival by night and transfer to your hotel.

1. This package is available year around, except during holidays, Christmas and New Years.
