Across the bay of Guanabara lies Rio's sister city Niteroi. The two cities are linked by a 13km bridge; one of the region's famous landmarks. Crossing the bridge you already have a marvellous view of the bay. Once in Niteroi, however, the panorama becomes truly spectacular, especially from the Contemporary Art Museum, a project of Oscar Niemeyer.
This tour includes a trip to the historic fortress at the mouth of the bay, in the shadow of Sugar Loaf. You can choose how you prefer to travel to and from Niteroi, for example, you can take a trip over the bridgeand then return by boat. You will be picked up at your hotel in Rio de Janeiro and driven back at the end of the tour.
