Your first visit will be to Igarassú, 65 Km far from Recife, and a historical city. There you will find the oldest church of Brazil: Saints Cosme and Damião church, dating back to 1535.

You will continue on to Itamaracá Island to see the historic Fort Orange and the prison farm that preserves strong traditions, as well as other landmarks. The name Itamaracá is of indian origin and means "pedra que canta" (rock that sings). Besides its beautiful beaches, the island surroundings is plenty of chanels what favours the boat or jangada tours.
