Now traditional in Brazil, the Micaretas are the out of season Carnivals spread through all the country in a great range of dates. Over the last eight years, the trios-elétricos spread micaretas everywhere, transforming them in one of the biggest cultural businesses in the country. They have made Carnaval a yearlong event that happens practically every month in different capitals or big cities of the region. Hence there is no need to wait an entire year for the next Carnaval. There is always a Carnaval coming by.
Each Micareta has a different name according to the city that it takes place. In Teresopolis it is called Mikaterê. The exact dates are not defined yet but it usually happens in November.
