Since Paraty is situated right next to the Atlantic rainforest, there are endless possibilities of exciting treks to discover beautiful waterfalls, natural swimming pools and fine, secluded beaches.
Our tour takes you into the National Park of the Serra da Bocaina, a protected area containing a great variety of vegetation and wildlife. On the way to the small village of Trindade, we stop off at beautiful waterfalls set in the lush, tropical vegetation. We then reach a paradise beach where you can snorkel, swim or simply relax in this idyllic setting. The tours that go more inland, take you along jungle trails to beautiful waterfalls and natural water slides. Some tours also include a visit to an old Indian cemetery and a museum.
We organise a stop-off at a recommended restaurant to have lunch in a natural setting. We also provide snorkelling equipment, sun-shades, beach chairs, insect repellent and binoculars if necessary.
NB. BIT have made friends with an Indian family and, during a trek, we can arrange to stop off to visit them and learn from them how they build the canoes.
