This is the "Arara" package, a program that takes you to a quick trip to the Amazon Village Jungle Lodge, in the middle of the Forest, offering a unique opportunity for an unforgettable experience.
The Village consists of a central "open air" lodge surrounded by 21 bungalows, most of them with two separate rooms. The complex is divided into the following areas: reception and bar, recreation area, restaurant and apartments. There are 45 apartments, all with mosquito screens, two single beds, private bathroom with shower and veranda with a hammock, discreetly integrated into the natural surroundings.
The Amazon is the ultimate last frontier, and now is the ideal moment to discover it!

Day -
Manaus / Amazon Rainforest
Land transfer from Manaus city to the port, leaving at 8h30.
Embark on a regional boat to the Amazon Village.
On the way you will pass by the Meeting of the Waters.
Arrival and accommodation.
Lunch.
Reconnaissance Tour.
Dinner.
Alligator spotting tour.
Overnight at the lodge.

Included in the package:
* Permanent assistance of an expert bilingual guide;
* 1 overnight at the lodge;
* Meals (buffet style): 1 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 1 dinner; and

*Airport taxes and air tickets;
*Transfers hotel or airport to pier, or vice-versa;
*Medical expenses and hospitalization;
*Any type of insurance;

*Tips.
What to bring:
Although the climate is considered hot and damp all year round (about 80 to 85 Fahrenheit), it can be surprisingly cool at night in the jungle or on the river. Most of the time, passengers will find themselves wearing light clothing such as T-shirts, shorts, bathing suit and sandals, but for the hikes in the forest they should also have a long sleeved shirt, long trousers, light coat, good closed footwear such as high tennis shoes or hiking boots, small flashlight, binoculars, and personal effects.
Important remarks:
1. The below mentioned rates are per person and valid until December'2008.
2. This package is not valid during Christmas, New Years, Carnival and Holidays.
3. Luggage: For safety reasons and guests comfort inside the boat and at the lodge, the big bags will be kept in the lodge deposit in Manaus and will be returned when they are back to the city. The guests will be allowed to carry a hand bag only with the necessary for their stay in the Amazon Forest.
4. The activities described may be altered due to weather conditions, season or group make-up with the intent of maximizing your experience of the eco-system.
5. The lodge does not have a generator and electricity is supplied by an alternative source of energy. The lights in the rooms are limited to the evening hours and no hot water is available. The main lodge area is lit by candlelights and kerosene lamps. The kitchen and service areas are supplied with electricity continuously day and night.
6. Other packages, with less or more days, are available upon previous request.
7. If you have extra luggage left in Manaus, please keep your guide informed when of your transfer to the lodge. |
