From April to May the tenth edition of the only event of its kind in Latin America is held, featuring four operas, two of them on their debut performance, and three concerts. The historical and astounding Amazonas Opera House will be the marvellous setting. The Festival has been occupying spaces such as the Instalação Theater, a stage inaugurated in 2001 to house small artistic events. Major outdoor events are also a fundamental part of the program. Always featuring guest soloists and always highlighting national talents, the Amazonas Opera Festival is provided with a solid basis: The State Artistic Corps. The 60-member Amazonas Philharmonic Orchestra, The Amazonas Chorus and Dance Corps, the Cláudio Santoro Cultural Center Orchestra and Musical Groups form the basis for the professional performance of this event.
Ça Ira (Roger Waters)
