Belém
Departure from Belém at 18:00 -navigation towards the Bay of Guajará and Marajó - Dinner - Overnight on the wessel.

Day -
Marajó
In the dawn navigation on Rio Pará, that is under strong influence of the tide despite of the distance to the sea. On this day we will ship around the island of Marajó passing by several lakes, among them the one of Breves. We will have excellent visual contact with the riverine population and the exuberant amazon forest. Full Board. Overnight on the wessel.

Day -
Several villages
Continuation, already on the large and wide Rio Amazonas with brief stops in Almeirim, Prainha and Monte Alegre for embarkment and disembarkation of passengers and goods. Full board. Overnight on the wessel.

Day -
Santarém
At dawn, arrival in Santarém. After the breakfast, visit the village of Alter do Chão, some 30 km away. At leisure, time for bathing in the green waters of Tapajós and stroll around through the village. Lunch in typical Restaurant included. Back to Santarém and embarkment. In the end of afternoon departure passing by the meeting of the Waters of Tapajós (green) and of Amazonas (brown coloured). Dinner. Overnight on the wessel.

Day -
Several villages
Navigation on Rio Amazonas and its hundreds of islands with brief stops in Óbidos, Juruti, Parintins (home of the incredible Boi - Festival). Full board and Overnight on the wessel.

Day -
Manaus
Navigation on Rio Amazonas. Breakfast and lunch. At the end of afternoon, we still enjoy the incredible meeting of the Water of Rio Negro and Solimões before we head to the port of Manaus. Disembarkation.

| Observation |

1. This is a regular tour and the rate is based on a Cabin rate but it is also available in a Master Suite for more USD 72.00
2. The below mentioned rates are valid until August 12'2008departure only.
3. Frequency: the boat leaves Belém at 17h00 on Tuesdays and arrives in Manaus on Sundays. Arrival times depend on river currents and tides.
2008 departures are:
January - 01/06, 15/20 and 29/feb 03.
February - 12/17 and 26/mar 02.
March - 11/16 and 25/30.
April - 08/13 and 22/27.
May - 06/11and 20/25.
June - 03/08 and 17/22.
July - 01/06, 15/20 and 29/aug 03.
August - 12/17.
Tours after this date are still to be scheduled.
4. It is also possible to cruise only Belém/Santarém, Santarém/Manaus or VV. For more information, please contact us.
5. Please note that the SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGES WITHOUT PREVIOUS NOTICE.
6. NM SANTAREM is not a cruise ship but a regular liner. Onboard are accomodations for local people traveling in hammocks.
7. Only the first class is equiped with air-conditioning: 4 suites (1 small double-bed, 1 small lounge and bathroom) , 11 cabins (2 single bunks and bathroom), an airco bar-lounge only for suites/cabins passengers and an airco restaurant with private and separated turn for suites/cabins passengers. The restaurants onboard serve local food (rice, black beans, chiken, meat, etc..).
8. The ship makes several calls on the route only for embark or disembark of passengers and goods: Almeirim, Prainha, Monte Alegre, Santarém, Obidos, Juruti and Parintins.
9. In Santarém, the ship calls for 12 hours (5h00 to 17h00).
10. Upon request, for groups or individuals, we also can quote guide assistance onboard during the whole or part of the cruise (available languages: english, french, spanish, german, italian). |
